According to official figures, combined fuel economy of Suzuki SX4 is between 4.4 l/100 km (53.46 mpg) and 8 l/100 km (29.4 mpg), depending on the modification. Some owners, however, report a slightly higher than expected consumption.

Hatchback and SUV variants are available with both front- and all-wheel-drive, while sedans are front-wheel-drive only.

Thanks to the all-wheel drive available on most SX4 variants, the model performs well in all weather conditions, including in snow.

Suzuki SX4 is a well-built and solid vehicle, with basically no common faults, reported by owners. The only drawbacks mentioned are the A pillar creating a bad blind spot and boot space being somewhat limited.

Despite its insufficient boot space (which can easily be overcome by using a rooftop cargo carrier), Suzuki SX4 makes a great family car. While it may be small in size, it actually feels quite spacious inside and is comfortable for long trips. It also offers good power and is practical, efficient enough, and highly reliable.
