The legal basis for processing this data is providing the service you have requested and fulfilling the obligations arising from the creation of your account.
The IP address recorded at registration is used to prevent spam, fraud, automated registrations and other abuse. This processing is based on our legitimate interest in protecting Auto-Data.net and its users.
We do not send promotional emails. We may send messages necessary for the operation and security of your account, as well as other service-related messages. Optional notifications can be disabled in your account settings where this option is available.

Depending on your choices, these partners may use cookies, online identifiers and information about your visits to select and display advertisements, limit how often they are shown and measure their performance.
If you have consented to personalised advertising, data about your use of Auto-Data.net may be used to create or supplement advertising profiles and display advertisements tailored to your presumed interests. If you do not consent to personalised advertising, you may continue to see non-personalised or contextual advertisements.
SHA-256 hashed email address
The SHA-256 hash of the email address associated with your account is used as a pseudonymous online identifier for advertising personalisation and measurement only when you have consented to personalised advertising. For this advertising purpose, the hashed value of the email address is used, rather than its readable form.
Hashing limits the possibility of direct identification, but does not necessarily make the information anonymous. We therefore treat the SHA-256 hash as personal data. The legal basis for using it for personalised advertising is your consent.
If you do not give consent or withdraw it, the hash of your email address is not used for advertising personalisation or measurement. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the privacy settings link in the website footer. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.

Auto-Data.net uses Azerion FMS (PubGalaxy), Nuwara and Google AdSense to serve advertisements. Azerion also publishes a list of its advertising and technology partners.
When the relevant Google advertising features are enabled and you have given the necessary consent, Google may associate information about visits to Auto-Data.net with information from the accounts of users who are signed in to Google and have allowed ad personalisation. Users can view and manage this information through My Activity and Google's ad settings.
Advertising personalisation may include automated profiling to select advertisements, but does not result in decisions that produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you.
Providers that help us with hosting, technical infrastructure, security, email, analytics and advertising may have access to personal data only to the extent necessary for the relevant service. Data may also be disclosed to competent authorities where required by law.
Data under the direct control of Auto-Data.net is stored in the European Union. Some external providers may also process information outside the European Economic Area. Where applicable, such processing takes place on the basis of an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses or another mechanism permitted by law.
If you do not confirm your registration within 24 hours using the email sent to you, we delete the data for the unconfirmed account, including the username, email address, hashed password and IP address recorded at registration.
Your account data is retained until you delete your account. You can view and change your data and delete your account at any time directly through its settings.
After you delete your account, its data may remain in backup copies for no longer than 6 months. Within this period, the backup copies are deleted or overwritten.
Server logs, including the IP addresses they contain, are retained for 15 days and then deleted.
Other security data and correspondence are retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which they were collected, including preventing abuse, responding to enquiries and defending against legal claims.
The retention periods for cookies and data processed by advertising and analytics partners are specified in the privacy settings tool and in the respective partners' policies.
Where data protection legislation applies to you, you have the right to request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data, restriction of processing, to object to processing based on legitimate interests and, where the legal conditions are met, to receive your data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.
Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. For advertising and analytics settings, use the privacy settings link in the website footer. To exercise your other rights, you can contact us at info@auto-data.net.
We respond to requests to exercise your rights without undue delay and no later than one month after receiving them. Where necessary, taking into account the complexity and number of requests, this period may be extended by a further two months. In that case, we will inform you of the extension and the reasons for it within the first month.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection through the Commission's official website or with another competent supervisory authority.
You do not need to provide information to browse Auto-Data.net. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under the age of 16 in connection with creating an account, we will take steps to delete it. If you believe that a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
Auto-Data.net applies appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls, firewalls, password protection, backups and SSL/TLS encryption when transmitting data between your browser and our servers.
No method of transmitting or storing information can guarantee absolute security. In the event of a security breach, we will notify the competent supervisory authority and the affected individuals where and to the extent required by applicable law.
We may update this statement when we add new features, change the technologies we use or when necessary because of changes in legislation. The date of the latest update is shown at the beginning of the document. We will provide appropriate notice of significant changes.
