In 2017 Hyundai’s luxury vehicle division Genesis unveiled the stylish G70. The car fits the compact executive car (D) category perfectly with its 4-door sedan body style.

Designed to compete with the best players in its segments like Audi A4, Mercedes C-class and the 3 Series of BMW, Genesis' third model made a grand entrance with its launch event in the Olympic Park in Seoul.

Inspired by the idea of offering its clients the ultimate exclusivity and comfort, the manufacturer spends a few years working on the exterior, interior, and the technical part. The result of the hard work was showcased during the 2016 NYAS.

Following the brand’s unique design language, G70 shares visual similarity to other successful models – G80 and G90.

Since its official release, Genesis G70 has just one generation with 6 modifications in it. The engines implemented are a 2.0 T-GDi, a 2.2D, and a 3.3 T-GDi V6 Sport. The generated horsepower vary from 202 hp up to 370 hp (for the Sport modification). G70 model’s engines are paired with either an 8-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission. The latter is implemented in the RWD versions of the G70 line. Two of the aggregates are with a diesel common rail fuel system – the 2.2D ones. The rest are with direct injection.

When equipped with the 3.3 liter V6 under its bonnet, the stylish G70 is capable to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.7 seconds.

Dimensions play a major role in terms of specs’ details. The elegant G70 sedan sports massive dimensions – length of 4,685 mm (184.4 in), a width of 1,850 mm (72.8 in), the height of 1,400 mm (55.1 in) and a wheelbase of 2,835 mm (111.6 in). As for the kerb weight of the automobile, it varies due to the implemented tech - 1,595–1,775 kg (3,516–3,913 lb).

The exterior design sports prominent front grille design and air intakes, huge LED head- and taillights and separate daytime running lights. As a hint of the sporty spirit of the executive sedan, the manufacturer has integrated a dual-exhaust system.

Inside the cabin, a mixture of soft to the touch plastics, high-quality leather and real metal accents enhance the feeling of opulence.
