The generation of BMW M3 E92 includes three modifications of the engine. First one is 4.0i (2007 – 2013). It is a 4.0-litre gasoline V-8 engine with power of 420hp and 400Nm torque. The motor is coupled with 6-speed manual transmission. Second one has the same technical data as the first one, with only difference in the transmission. Here the motor is coupled with 6-speed automatic gearbox. The third variant for the powerplant is GTS 4.4 DCT(2010 - 2013). It offers a 4.4-litre Petrol V-8 engine, generating power of 450hp and torque of 440Nm. The transmission type is 7-speed DCT.
This particular generation of BMW M3 model is based on E92 platform. Its production starts in 2007 and it is discontinued in 2013.
