Specs for all generations of Subaru WRX

Early European models include a choice of 1.6-litre petrol, 2.0-liter petrol, 2.0-liter diesel engines; five-speed manual (1.6 petrol), six-speed manual (2.0 petrol, 2.0 diesel), Lineartronic CVT (1.6 petrol, 2.0 petrol) transmission, and idle engine start stop (standard in petrol engine models, optional in diesel engine models). n North America, the XV was sold as the Subaru XV Crosstrek.  Early models include a 148-horsepower 2.0-liter boxer engine, five-speed manual or available second-generation Lineartronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).

2011 Subaru WRX variants are offered with 2.5-litre turbocharged petrol engines, generating 265 Hp and 343 Nm torque. The WRX STI is available with 2.5-litre turbocharged petrol motor, with a maximum power output of 300 Hp.

Subaru WRX STI started its history as a part of the Subaru Impreza line-up. In 2007, however, it became a separate model. Depending on the year of production, it is offered with different engine modifications. Main options are a 2.5-litre turbo petrol engine, generating 300 Hp, and a 2.0-litre turbo petrol motor with maximum power output of 268 Hp.

In 2005, the WRX STI was still a part of the second generation of the Impreza model of Subaru. The Impreza II WRX STI produced between 2005 and 2007 offers a 2.5-litre turbocharged gasoline engine, generating 280 Hp at 5600 rpm and 392 Nm of torque. The previous version - Impreza II WRX STI from 2002-2005 has a smaller 2.0-litre turbocharged gasoline motor. It generates 265 Hp at 6000 rpm and 343 Nm torque at 4000 rpm.
