The German car maker announced their plans to release a special "Plus" version of the R variant. The vehicle will come as a 5-door coupe with a 2.0-l turbo engine with about 400 hp. Along with the new, more powerful engine unit, Volkswagen Golf R Plus will get more aggressive looking body kit with wider than usual wheel arches and fresh interior sport elements.
No further technical data is announced. The R Plus is yet to be confirmed for serial production.
