The Czech automaker is ready to launch two new electric models by the end of 2019. The upcoming cars are probably the highly anticipated plug-in hybrid Skoda Superb and the all-electric Citigo.

Both vehicles will step on Volkswagen's revolutionary MEB platform, which Skoda used for very first time in Vision E concept production vehicle (which, by the way, is also scheduled to enter a production stage).
According to the rumors, the upcoming Superb plug-in hybrid will share a powertrain with it's VW twin brother - Golf GTE. This means 1,4 TSI (150 hp) turbo engine unit - 8,7 kWh battery capacity, 50 km all-electric range and an electric motor with 102 hp.
