Technical specs:

The new engine represents an unique combination between electric supercharger and Continuous Variable Valve Lift(CVVL). These innovations, mixed with the Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle(MHEV) technology optimize not only the performance, but also the fuel economy and emissions. The MHEV 48V system uses a small integrated electric motor to harvest energy lost during deceleration. The system redeploys that energy in order to maximize the efficiency.

The in-line six-cylinder petrol engine is planned to be 20% more fuel efficient than V6 one. It will be fitted with a Gasoline Particulate Filter, so to reduce the emissions up to 75%. Designed and engineered in-house,the new powerplant is using the company's flexible engine architecture.

The HST special edition also combines unique exterior and interior upgrades, including carbon fiber trim, red brake calipers, and special detailing on the wheel and gear lever.

The new Range Rover Sport HST is to be manufactured at Jaguar Land Rover’s UK Engine Manufacturing Center(EMC) using an ecologic and ultra-modern technologies.
