Chery Group has launched LEPAS, its all-new premium new energy vehicle brand, showcasing the full scope of its technology and product lineup at the 2026 International Business Summit and the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition.

At the heart of the LEPAS brand sits the LEX intelligent new energy platform, developed by over 1,200 engineers across eight global R&D centers. Built to support both BEV and PHEV configurations, LEX is engineered to meet the regulatory requirements and real-world driving conditions of markets across Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
The platform features EEA 5.1 next-generation electronic and electrical architecture with a dual-zone, dual-center integrated design, enabling millisecond-level system response and continuous over-the-air software updates across all vehicle functions.

LEPAS debuted three new models at the Beijing show: the L6 EV, L4 EV, and L6 PHEV, joining the existing flagship L8. The lineup is built around class-competitive wheelbase-to-length ratios and a flat-floor interior layout, prioritizing interior space and everyday usability.
The flagship L8 offers a total driving range exceeding 1,300 km on a single charge and tank combined, supported by a battery thermal management system rated for operation between -40°C and +55°C. The DHT230 dedicated hybrid transmission delivers strong performance alongside high energy efficiency, while high-power external discharge capability opens the door to outdoor and off-grid use cases.

Chassis tuning was handled by a European engineering team, with a focus on smooth, linear acceleration and confident braking response. The intelligent driving assistance suite covers highway cruising, urban congestion assistance, and automated parking.
Inside, the cockpit runs on automotive-grade processors with high-definition displays, ultra-fast startup, and voice interaction. LEPAS's proprietary 5-Dimensional Sensory Technology addresses air quality, acoustics, and comfort through features including AQS air monitoring, water-ion purification, Sony audio integration, ENC active noise cancellation, and AI-adaptive seating.

Backed by Chery Group's worldwide R&D network and more than 400 core technology patents, LEPAS positions itself as a premium alternative in the growing global NEV market. The brand's stated focus is on combining technological capability with what it describes as an "elegant" ownership experience — a concept that runs through everything from powertrain tuning to interior design.
