Kia Stinger - the beautiful lady on road

Kia Stinger is a flagship model in brand’s line-up. Based on Kia GT Concept and Kia GT4 Stinger, the production version hits the market in 2017.

According to one if the designers, the model’s design is partially inspired by Coca-Cola bottle. And just like the famous drink, the car easily became a symbol. Soon after its release Stinger is recognized as a synonym for Kia’s luxury, elegance and grace.

Equipped with shortened version of the Hyundai Genesis’ front engine, Kia Stinger combines rear wheel-drive platform with an additional steel reinforcement. The available engine line-up includes:

Each one of the Stinger’s engines is coupled with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

Stinger's powerplants produce a total power in the range of 200-370 Hp, while the maximal torque varies from 353 to 510 Nm. In order to achieve unlimited speed, the car is equipped with superior capacity in terms of power, drivability, safety, and durability.

The slowest version of the model is Stinger 2.0 GDI (256 Hp) Automatic (2019), which top speed is 232 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 sec. The diesel version – 2.2 CRDi (200 Hp) (2019) can achieve speed of 230 km/h, while its acceleration is the same as the petrol engine version. The fastestest vehicle of the model is Stinger GT 3.3 GDI (366 Hp) AWD (2019) with a top speed of 270km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100km/h of just 5.5 sec.

The fuel consumption vary from 7.9 l/100 km in urban driving to 5.5 l/100 km in extra urban. The emission standard is EURO 6, while CO2 emissions are reduced to 169 g/km.

Very useful feature of Kia Stinger is the fact that in all of its variants it is a fastback – all including 5 doors and 5 seats, including the driver. The exact measurements of all versions of Kia Stinger are absolutely identical - 4830 mm in lenght, 1870 mm in width. The height of the fastback is 1400 mm. With a wheelbase of 2905 mm, the vehicle has front track of 1596 mm, while the rear is 23 mm longer - 1619 mm.

Fuel tank can be filled up with a maximum of 60l in all of the Stinger’s configurations.

Inside, Kia Stinger feels sporty, substantial and uncluttered. It's also spacious, particularly in the rear, thanks to its long wheelbase.

Of a great importance is the vehicle’s weight. Here we have a kerb weight varying from 1642 kg for Kia Stinger 2.0 GDI(2017-2018) up to 1905 kg for Kia Stinger 3.3 GDI AWD(2019).

Up to the present moment Kia Stinger has 9 modifications (5 for the period 2017-2018 and 4 in production since 2019). The model is offered with either gasoline or diesel combustion engines:
