An innovative powertrain and sporty experience - Audi's latest edition S6 and S7 models

Audi presented their new S-models equipped with TDI engine. The new S6 and S7 are supported by electric powered compressor and showcase impressive sporty design. First of a kind supercharging system eliminates the anticipated turbolag. The distinguishable new sporty design (inside and out) underlines the racing abilities of Audi's S6 and S7 models.

Design and exterior

The design of Audi's newest S-models has striking and sophisticated character. A variety of exclusive elements on the exterior provides the sporty spirit of the cars. Dark chrome and aluminium details on the front grille, side air inlets and exterior mirrors emphasize the exclusiveness of the new models. An impressive rear diffuser underlines the racing charter of Audi's S-models at a glance.

The focus in the S6 front is the horizontal aluminium splitter, the makes it look bolder and wider. At the rear, 4 S-specific tailpipes and a spoiler add a pinch of sportiness to the new S-line series’silhouette.

S7 model has some distinguishing features, that makes it look more massive and masculine:

• grille's aluminium lamelas and chrome-matt corpus
• enlarged air-inlets with funnels inside
• aluminium exterior elements

Interior

The cabin of the newest S-models offers typical sporty equipment - black color schemes, contrast stitching, specific seats' upholstery and design. The latest S6 and S7 models include an extended range of standard equipment:

• 20-inch rims
• MMI system – A specific kind of infotainment and navigation system, available exclusively in Audi’s vehicles
• Audi's virtual cockpit with specific layout – newly developed instrumental cluster screen connected to the MMI System
• 4-zone automatic air conditioning system
• Alcantara upholstery elements – seats offers combination between leather and Alcantara to strengthen the racing feeling in the cockpit

The spacious interior and luggage compartment, in combination with the multi-adjustable contour seats, make the S-models a perfect decision for long-distance trips.

Powertrain and Drivetrain

S6 and S7 models make their entrance with innovative V6 TDI engine, paired for the first time with а unique electric powered compressor. Audi's newly developped technology succeeded in eliminating the much-dreaded turbo lag and provide an instant response of the engine. With a volume of 3.0-liter, the TDI motor produces power of 349 hp. In order to reduce S-models’ emissions a mild-hybrid system is also available.

A dynamic all-wheel steering is making its way to the latest Audi's vehicles. In combination with the standard quattro permanent AWD, an impressive rigidity and stability is ensured in any road condition. Optinional ceramic breaks finish the sporty character of the brand new S6 and S7 models.
