Ford expands the Focus with an ST line

24 April 2019

Ford has officially revealed the next-gen Focus - an ST hatchback, offering both petrol and diesel variations.

The petrol unit features a 2,3-litres turbo EcoBoost powerplant with a total of 280 hp, while the 2,0-liters EcoBlue turbodiesel reaches up to 190 hp. Both, diesel and petrol versions of the new ST can be paired with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed automatic transmission. But what really makes the ST Focus hatchback special are the modified suspension, the redesigned steering wheel, reinforced brakes, and an electronic locking differential. A brake-based torque vectoring system is also available as an option, but only for the diesel package.

Ford's new Focus ST is inspired by those, who seek and cherish sports driving. In an attempt to enhance the racing spirit in each driver, Ford's new hot hatch enables the driver to choose between 4 driving modes: Slippery/Wet, Normal and Sport. An optional, Performance pack can be added which unlocks Drive Track mode.

What adds more masculinity and aggressiveness to the ST exterior is the aerodynamic body kit, sports exhaust system, freshly designed rims, and an extraordinary, mind-capturing exterior color palette. Inside the cabin, the sporty spirit is amplified by the Recaro sports seats, sports steering wheel, grey upholstery, and silver decor elements.
