The famous German car maker is on its way to expand the company's product portfolio with a hybrid version of the newly released Series 3.
Under the bonnet of the upcoming hybrid combi will be placed a 2,0-litres petrol turbo engine with 184 hp, paired with an XtraBoost system. Thanks to the latter, the electric motor's power will significantly increase up to 68 hp (though for a limited period of time). The entire hybrid system in the future Series 3 Touring hybrid will generate a combined power of 252 hp.
The official debut of the family hybrid combi is still a mystery. Yet, some speculate it will happen before this spring.
