Time is flying and everything changes. The future belongs to electric vehicles. Polestar 2 is all in. The Swedish manufacturer gives a glimpse of their second concept car. The official reveal is planned for 27th Feb 2019 during an online event, while the public presentation will be during the Geneva auto show 2019.

The Polestar 2 will be a fully electric car with an innovative user interface. It claims to have a range of about 500 km in a single charge and power up to 400hp.
The exterior design is still a mystery. What is known is that it will be 4-door fastback coupe. Polestar 2 is supposed to be closely related to Volvo's concept 40.2 or to the previous Polestar 1. Two of the most important features of that concept are its electrification and unique User Interface system.

Polestar 2 is not only easy to drive, but it is easy to interact with. Its user interface is intuitive, unique and innovative. Some of the unique features of this premium fastback include functional voice command system and connection with the driver's phone (both Android and i-Phone) via voice commands through the central console.

The most impressing innovation is the access functionality - Phone-As-Key. As the driver approaches, the vehicle “senses” the presence of the owner’s phone and the display wakes up. When the driver sits down, intelligent sensors wake up more functions on the UI. And finally, when the brake pedal is depressed and the shifter is moved, the engine starts automatically.

Polestar 2 is one-of-a-kind EV, created to compete with Tesla Model 3 not only with its outstanding features but also with the price tag (it will be in the range of Tesla’s car). The Polestar's concept will go into production shortly after the first concept, later this year. The distribution should start in 2020.
